Alarm System Technician (Houston) Commercial Telecommunications/Alarm Installer-Technician O. C. Communications (OCC) is a complete, full-service communications contractor specializing in the installation, project management, and maintenance of communication systems. The primary function of OCC is to help our partners succeed and grow in the constantly changing climate. OCC serves both residential and commercial markets. The company is headquartered in Elk Grove, CA with offices throughout Northern and Central California and Houston Texas. O. C. Communications, Inc. currently has an immediate need for Alarm Installation Technicians to serve the Houston area. Technicians must have a strong understanding and background of installing telecommunications, low voltage, or burglar alarm systems. OCC is currently seeking energetic and customer service driven candidates who must be presentable and have good communication skills as daily customer interaction will be required. Familiarity in CCTV, intrusion detection systems, IP based camera systems, information systems technology, and broadband communications are desired. Work requires working in residential dwellings, performing installation and termination of cable and cable management systems, (i.e. trays, conduit, and j-hooks, etc.). Installation of digital voice/VolP/Telephony equipment and the ability communicate with customers the functionality of the equipment. All work must be performed in a safe manner according to OSHA and OCC safety standards. All applicants must have a clean DMV record, pass a drug screening, and undergo a thorough background check from federal and state law enforcement agencies.
